Duval County Public Schools Mandarin High School Addition and Renovations

  • A new 22,000-square-foot addition to accommodate additional student stations for increased student enrollment and provide classroom/labs for the Culinary Arts and Medical Programs, and renovations to the existing school.

  • The addition project scope included a large medical simulation lab with dummy headwalls and Anatomage tables.

  • The addition also includes two culinary labs with a connected classroom, eight standard classrooms, and bathrooms.

  • The project scope for the interior renovations in the existing building included converting the old culinary and medical spaces into general classrooms, a science lab, and a business lab, totaling 8,700 square feet.

  • 72 new HVAC units were installed in classrooms, and all 22 bathrooms (4,165 SF) were fully gutted and renovated to not only meet ADA compliance standards, but also freshen them.

  • The portable classrooms that have been on campus for over 20 years have been removed and replaced with a practice field.

  • The school’s CEP was renovated to accommodate the addition and new HVAC systems.
